The difference between IR and RF Remote Control

time2016/08/11

RF Remote Controlis a remote control device that useradio signals to control various agencies. After the signal is received by thereceiver of the remote device , they candrive a variety of other instructionor corresponding mechanical or electronicequipment to complete the variousoperations , such as closing the circuit ,moving the handle , motor starting ,then these machines go to operation thatthey desire . As a complement and aninfrared remote control with a remotecontrol type, in garage doors, electricdoors, automatic barrier remote control, anti-theft alarm, industrial controland wireless intelligent home field ithas been widely used.

IRRemote Control is a remote control device that use near-infrared of wavelengthof 0.76 ~ 1.5μm to transmit control signals .Characteristics of infrared remotecontrol is that  it does not affect the surrounding environment, and doesnot interfere with other electrical equipment. Because it can not penetratewalls , so that household appliances can be used in different rooms of theuniversal remote control without causing mutual interference ; its circuitdebugging is simple , just click on a given circuit connection is correct ,generally without any debugging it can be put into work ; its codec is easy, can control multi- channel remote . Thus , infrared remote control has beenwidely used in household appliances , indoor close ( less than 10 meters ) ofthe remote control .

Theinfrared remote control is to transmit an infrared control signal with infraredray , which is characterized by directional , there can not be a barrier ,distance is generally not more than 7 meters , immune to electromagneticinterference.the TV remote control is infrared remote control ; radio remotecontrol with radio waves is to transmit control signals , which ischaracterized by non-directional , You can not " face to face"control , distance is far( up to tens of meters , even several kilometers ) ,susceptible to electromagnetic interference . In the distance required topenetrate or non-directional control, such as industrial control, etc. , usingthe radio remote control easier to solve .
